Tweets,

This afternoon my son, Kris, and I headed out to Iona and on the way
past the short grass field surrounding the third runway at the airport
we saw a loose flock of birds rise up. We immediately pulled over to
the side of the road and broke out the optics. American Pipits, about
150 in total were feeding in the field. Pretty cool we thought.

We headed over to Iona. Wonderfully clear day, with fairly strong and
cold westerlies, just ask Kris, Mr. T shirt, how cold it was:) Anyway,
over at the NW inner pond we saw another 150 or so American Pipits. A
flock of Canada Geese passed over, way up. The Northern Shovelers on
the inner ponds would keep rising up and up circling not sure whether
they should stay or go.

Yep the birds are definately on the move.
