I guess Spring is really here now. I had my first GOLDFINCH at my feeders
yeaterday. Almost completely in alternate plumeage. Not sure when I had my
first one last year but I know it was in April. I also had a female EVENING
GROSBEAK at my feeders one day last weekend. Haven't seen it since. WHITE-
CROWNED SPARROWS abound and the VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS are starting to claim
the nest boxes.

Looks like a good year shaping up.
