Well, some of the birds are back, but Spring? I dunno, there's more snow on
the local mountains now than through most of the winter, with a lower
snowline, and it was warmer in mid-February than it's been since--that
persistent cold NW flow (Arctic outflow up N, swing around out over the
Pacific and return to the coast about here) is just not quitting, so we're
actually still stuck in late Winter. Very few insectivore migrants are
bothering to move N while it's so cold, not to mention headwinds at
altitude: hard to get here and little to eat when arrived.
