For those of you on the west side who may be interested in just how far
behind we are "up here" on the Palouse a few recent arrivals.

Turkey Vulture - 4/12 near Deary
Red-naped Sapsucker - 4/12 Palouse Divie area
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 4/12 Palouse Divide area

Kas Dumroese has Savannah Sparrows and 2 fly-over Osprey yesterday (4/14).
Even down in the Clearwater/Snake R. (Lewsiton/Clarkston) I suspect things
are ~ 1 week ahead of us. I had a flock of 4 Townsend's Solitaires on my
way to class this morning which I suspect were migrants although they
winter locally.

Perhaps central/eastern WA and inland BC are at similar points in their
migration (depending on local weather conditions)?
