Since I do not remember where I originally picked up this URL in the last
couple of months, I think it was from Texbird, so if I am duplicating this for
some of you, please excuse me. Also, if you are subscribed to multiply BBB,
like I am, sorry for the multiply copies of this which you are going to
receive. But in my excitement to make sure that anyone who is interested in
the Eskimo Curlew, as I am, knows about this site, I am sending it to various
lists.

If you go to http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/othrdata/curlew/curlew.htm
and have an color ink jet printer, you can print out a 173 +/- page book on
the Eskimo Curlew. It is an on-line copy of "Eskimo Curlew -- A vanishing
Species?" by J.B. Gollop, T.W. Barry and E. H. Iversen. 1986 You do not
need a color printer to print it out, just that there is a beautiful etching,
drawing on the front cover that is worth going to someone's color print to
have.

I strongly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in this bird. I have
printed it out and am having it bound. It details the history of the E.
Curlew identification, sightings, migration, breeding, status issues, maps,
pictures, other names for the Eskimo Curlew, 32 page bibliography, etc.

Except for the paper and ink cost, it is free to print out for your library.

Again, sorry for the duplications, but I think this is important to those
birders who have an interest in the Eskimo Curlew to know about. Thanks for
your understanding.
