Wasn't going to mention this, but seeing everyone else is reporting similar
experiences, will. At the Fauntleroy Ferry Dock, West Seattle, Tuesday 14
April, beautiful sunny day, saw an Osprey flying around (its hovering caused
something of a stir among the crowd), 17 Brant (rafts of 11 came in, 6 flew
by), two Harlequin ducks (both male), literally right next to the dock, one
Common Loon, far off could make out yellow on head of either Horned (probable)
or Eared Grebes, Surf Scoters, Common Goldeneye, as well as the usual
suspects. Maureen Ellis said she also saw about 50 Brant later in the day
just south, in Des Moines.

Also had a Pine Siskin at the feeder with much more than the usual amount of
yellow (took video). Two were at the feeder; this was the first time this
winter I've seen more than one at a time. Usually get flocks by the dozen.

Saw a Ruby-crowned Kinglet displaying his ruby crown so prominently it was
visible (in bright sunlight) thirty yards away, without bins.
