They're a bit off-course, but the timing's right for northbound American
White Pelican Pelicanus erythrorhynchus. Cannings et al in Birds of the
Okanagan (that's how we spell it in Canada) Valley give Week 2 April as the
usual first influx through the valley on the way to the nesting site of Stum
Lake in White Pelican Provincial Park in south-central BC, just a little NW
of Williams Lake. If Vancouver BC gets 'em, it's usually in Week 4 May/Week
1 June as non- or failed breeders head S again.
