Whew, they're coming back! Had me worried for a couple of
weeks there.

Our first spring Audubon field trip took place today - the annual
Palmer Hayflats outing where we visit a big marshy area looking
for migratory waterfowl. We were rushing the season a little,
next weekend will probably bring many more species, but we
got great swan overflights - V's of 50 - 75 at a time. The local
eagles were out harrassing the Pintails and Canada Geese,
and we saw a coyote eating something off in the distance.

Lots of fresh air and people happy to be there.
