Hello Birders,
I spend this weekend in eastern Washington, manly seeing Sharp-tailed
Grouse on a Lek and also other good Birds. I only going to mention the
highlights.
We had 9 male Sharp- tailed Grouse on this particular Lek
For the first time i wittnessed a male Common Snipe mount the female, this
we wittnessed twice on two different Birds.
A Great Horned Owl with three Young visible in Nest
1 Snow Goose on Atkin Lake
1 Loggerhead Shrike close to Swansen Lake
4 Rough-legged Hawk {Late?}
4 Long-eared Owls near Mansfield
6 Short-eared Owls
2 Golden Eagle Vantage
1Nashville Warbler, at Maryhill Museum
7 Lesser Goldfinches at Maryhill Campground, { good Photos taken
5 Turkey Vulture{ still left}
1Acorn Woodpecker in Lyle { took 3 hours to find}
1 RARE Pond Turtle Lyle
15 Yellow -rumped Warblers{where ever the habitat in high numbers.
All together i had 87 Species of Birds,{many Photos where taken}
