Hi Tweeters, April 21, 1998 8:30p.m.

I checked out the BLACK-HEADED GULL spot yesterday afternoon from 4-5p.m.
and didn't find the bird. Also checked again today for it between 11:30
and 1 with out luck either. Then I headed up to the Everett area to try
and find the BLACK DUCK. I didn't find the one along Home Acres Road on
Ebey Island but nor the CINNAMON TEAL nor the SOLITARY SANDPIPERS but
there was at least one WESTERN SANDPIPER and a couple of LEAST SANDPIPERS
along with both YELLOWLEGS, SNIPES, and PIPITS. Then a little further
south on that road there is a road that goes off to the east that at the
end has a pond area in it and there were 30 plus DOWITCHERS there with at
least one SHORT-BILLED. Went to the Everett Sewage Ponds from there and
was unable to locate the BLACK DUCK there either. Lot's of BONAPARTE'S
GULLS though. That's all for now. Hope that Gull is still around
somewhere.
