Hello again,

Forgot to mention earlier that last Friday masses of VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS
stormed in onto our property out of Fall City. I was seeing as many as nine
birds soaring around at the same time. By last night, three of the four
nest boxes around the place had been rented out! Curiously, the only one
that doesn't have a taker is the only box that is mounted directly to a tree
-- the other three are on posts. All share common other features, mainly
being on the fringe of open fields with the hole opening facing the open
field and a forest of trees behind it. The birds seem to like playing with
our dog too.
