Tweets,
Sorry to be a day late with this but yesterday I had lunch at the deli in
Bayview Market in downtown Olympia. About 12:30 I saw what I thought were
PIGEON GUILLIMOTS flying from under the 4th Ave Bridge. after I finished
lunch I got my bins out of the truck for a better look. Sure enough at least
4 PIGEON GUILLEMOTS were in the area. The tide was out and water was really
flowing out of Capitol Lake. There were also several RED-BREASTED MERGANZERS
between the lake and the bridge. Are Smolts being flushed out of Capitol Lake
now?
Also saw lots of BONAPARTE'S GULLS on Capitol Lake.
See you at the Shorebird Festival this weekend.
Good Birding.
