Wow! Can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading the list of species (and the
places you visited) in your posting. Have been in the area a few times at
different seasons -- always exciting. By the way, in the latest (June, 1988)
Birder's World, Paul Lehman writes about some birding hotspots for spring
migration but doesn't mention the Texas Coast. Maybe there was only space for
the areas he included but I was surprised since High Island, etc., has always
been a mecca for birders, expecially for the "fall-out" warblers. Was the
Acadian flycatcher singing? Don't even have a tape--how was it identified?
Help!
