After listening to all the talk about White-crowned Sparrows, and
just when I was starting to think I would never see one again, I went
home to find a flock of about 20 in our yard last Friday. And to
think I almost dismissed them as House Sparrows!

It was really nice to see the bright contrast on the head and the big
pink bill on this inland form--I'm so accustomed to only seeing the
drabber coastal forms.
