While returning from a weekend of birding in the Potholes and
south-of-Ellensburg area of middle eastern WA (lots of good posts recently
from other folks), spotted a "kettle" of 10-15 TURKEY vultures at about
Exit 63 on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass, early Sunday evening, April
26.
There were waves and waves of WHITE-CROWNED sparrows along the blue-bird
trail, Sunday, April 26, on the way to the Wenas area. Flowers were
marvelous and weather was fabulous this past weekend. Highly recommend
the Nites Inn and the Copper Kettle restaurant in Ellensburg for good
values in nice lodging and terrific food.
