Tweeters - beautiful blue jay early this morning hopped up on the rail of
our deck about four feet away. Then kept on hopping about in a circle
around us, very close, stopping to look about. After a while, the blue
jay hopped off the deck and hopped up onto the deck and roof next door.

Interspecies communication was the thought that kept coming up during the
blue jay's explorations of us. Was the blue jay communicating to us, and not
merely exploring territory?
