Yesterday we went to Swanson Lakes (DeLorme P86 C4) and saw a Adult
Anatum (variant with completely dark cheek and salmon wash on breast)
PEREGRINE FALCON. At least we think it is a "Anatum". It had the
waterfoul pinned on the lake. We observed it for about an hour and it
was still there when we left. Awesome!!
I got some pictures, but can't post them until we get a new scanner. :-(
we will post the rest of the trip tomorrow. Oh ya---the ROUGH-LEGGED
HAWKS are starting to show up. We saw three yesterday in areas we have
not seen any for quite some time.
