Tweets - Below is a clip of a note that Mike Force just sent me. He is on the
research ship "McArthur" off Baja presently with an inport in Guatemala in a
couple of weeks. Due to e-mail restrictions onboard, Mike requests that any
responses be forwarded through myself. thanx.

How are things? Right now we're about 180 NM off south-central Baja
California in a biological desert. We saw 2 birds yesterday (Leach's
Storm-Petrel, of course!). The scary thing is that we will be spending a lot of
time here. Yikes!!

We will be in San Jose, Guatemala 16 August. I was wondering
if you could post a RFI on Tweeters for me. Does anyone in Tweeter-ville know of
any good birding sites close to this Pacific coast port? Not Tikal! We only have
4 days and I was hoping to look for Resplendant Quetzal. There is some quetzal
reserve called (I think) Reserva Biotopo somewhere near Guatemala City, but any
site close to San Jose will do.
