Interesting that Umatilla cleared out. Yesterday (8/3) there were many
shorebirds at the Yakima Delta. 4 Avocets, 1 Black-necked Stilt, 1
Wilson's Phalarope, many Western, Least, and Spotted Sandpipers, Greater
and Lesser Yellowlegs. In addition there were 1 Solitary Sandpiper and 3
Pectoral Sandpipers present. Killdeer galore. A Great Egret also flew by.

Today the water was much higher so numbers were down, but Spotted, Western,
Leasts and yellowlegs were still around as were 2 Pectoral S. and 1
Wilson's Phalarope. A few Avocets and 1 BN Stilt remained.
