Tuesday, Aug. 4, 8:00 p.m. Hi. This is Tom Aversa.
206-782-7342. Just got back from a trip to Ridgefield, Clark
County today. Quite an amazing congregation of
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS down there. Close to 400
adults. Also an adult PECTORAL SANDPIPER, and a BARN
OWL, four BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERONS. Those are
the highlights.

Monday, Aug. 3, 9:15 p.m. Hi, this is Gene Revelas in Tacoma.
253-756-7834. The BAR-TAILED GODWIT was still at
Tokeland today, Monday, the 3rd. Saw it between about 7 and 8
a.m. at the location described by Stephen Mlodinow previously.
Later in the day at the Westhaven State Park, the Westport
Jetty, there were about 60 SURFBIRDS at the base of the jetty.
And there was a POMARINE JAEGER in that area. That's it.
Good luck and good birding.

Monday, Aug. 3, 12:42 p.m. Steve Dang, 206-368-6887. At
about 10 a.m. this morning over North Seattle I saw what I
think is a WHITE STORK. An all-white bird with black flight
feathers, reddish bill and legs. I couldn't tell whether or not this
bird had been tagged or not.

Sunday, Aug. 2, 3:59 p.m. Hi, this is Stephen Mlodinow. Today,
Yvonne Bombardier, Jim Flynn and I went out to Whidbey
Island. Crockett Lake had 11 species of shorebirds, including
nine SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, four BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, and five
PECTORAL SANDPIPERS. Elsewhere
on Whidbey on private property, we had three juvenile
WILSON'S PHALAROPES. That's it. Good luck and good
birding.
