For the last two years a pair of Sharp-shinned Hawks have nested and fledged
young in Campbell Valley Park, in south Langley, east of Vancouver BC. The
nest was only 100 m. from the parking lot and I was able to watch it on a
regular basis from mid March to late July. I've often heard the adults and
fledged young vocalizing while out of the nest, but always a whiney
"kee-kee-kee". There is a difference in pitch between adult and young.
Somewhat puppy-dog like.
