Hi folks,

This message came in from the US Bird Banding Laboratory on the BirdBand listserver.
I thought that It would be a good idea to share it with the list, since banded birds recovered
in our area always add to our knowledge of the avifauna of the region. Besides, you get a
cool "Certificate of Appreciation" letting you know where, when, and by whom the bird was
banded, as well as the age, gender and species of the critter.

Hi Banders,

We have created a new page to allow the reporting of US and Canadian
federal bird bands across the web at:

www.pwrc.usgs.gov/bbl/homepage/recwbnd.htm

For the present, all reports on bands that are reported across the web
will be handled the same as a telephone recovery (1-800-327-BAND) or a
band reported by mail (12100 Beech Forest Road, Laurel MD 20708-4037).
We would appreciate any comments that you have on the form and the
questions that are asked of the finder. You can also use this form to
report recoveries to the Bird Banding Laboratory.
