Did the birds at the fill seem at all perterbed by the noise of the last
few days? Given the choice, I decided to go to Discovery Park instead
this morning, because I thought that the birds there were less likely to
have been disturbed. If there is too much activity in one spot, noise,
or otherwise, wouldn't birds leave the area temporarily to seek relief?
Just a thought. Has anyone noticed a connection between lack of bird
activity and an increase in human activity over short periods (like
Seafair) in any given area?
