a round, full moon's echoing white light caroming off the side of the Twin
Barns casting shadows across the observation deck of the Nisqually
National Wildlife Refuge, where we stood tonight in mute testimony candles
flickering in the soft breeze, pushing back the darkness... a beautiful
rising and falling melodic line from an old wooden flute rose to meet the
equally beautiful, but plaintiff wail of coyotes howling and yipping back
to the flute and to each other. This was a night like no other. It was my
great privilege to witness fellow Tweeter Burt Guttman and Lois Wofford
become one as they joined their lives in ceremony before us.
