I just recently walked around Spencer Island North of Everett, and there
were many Willow Flycatchers singing their distinctive "fitz-bew" song.
I also tracked down many by their "whit" call and in turn distinguished
the difference between the more liquid "whit" of the Swainson's Thrush.
It was the first time I had heard the two together so I could be more
sure of the differences. In fact the two of them were in the same area
and were answering each others whits and when I added my whit they
answered mine also.
