Tweets,

Yesterday evening and again early this morning I observed a very small,
all white, gull in the Kennydale area of Renton (King County)
Washington. The gull was first observed on the water foraging - it was
smaller than the coots and mallards it was in the company of (12-14"
max). After about 10 minutes it took off where I got good views of both
the top and underside of the bird - bright white - no grey or black.
The legs are dark, bill yellowish with a grey/black ring/tip.
Definitely a gull, not a tern. In flight the bird appears "stubby"
short yet wide wings, short body. Weak, two-noted, upward trending
vocalization: arr-eee arr-eee arr-ee. I am not confident enough to ID
the bird - but if I had to, I'd say Ivory - but that is just way too out
there to say with any confidence without cofirmation from other
experienced birders.

Might be worth a look for those close to Renton. I first observed the
bird at Kennydale beach (Lake Washington Blvd, right at the stop sign at
the beach about midway between 44th and Coulon Park) and later followed
it by car to where it flew around the intersection of I405 and 44th SE -
generally staying on the lake side of the freeway before returning back
toward the beach site. This morning the bird was just to the north of
the beach park offshore of the residential area. This is the general
area of the lumber mill/log booms and the area surrounding same.
