Hi, Tweeters,

I need some information here....tonight, a female ring necked pheasant was
wandering around on my property. This isn't uncommon..we have a few here.
However, she was acting very ill. As she walked she would occasionally
stumble. All the while her head was flopping around, almost as if she had a
broken neck. THe head bobbing seemed to be uncontrollable. She wasn't
unaware..a very large female kestrel (yes, a KESTREL) took a dive at her a
couple times, and the pheasant reacted by turning and facing the kestrel. Soon
the kestrel left, though, and the pheasant continued. She finally flew off
into the broom, just over the fence.

Any idea what this stuff is? Her feet looked wierd, too, though it was hard to
tell as she was in chest high (to her) grass and I only occasionally saw her
feet.
What is this? Any information out there??
Michelle
