To Tweeters On Aug. 14, 1998. On a visit to Lighthouse Park at Point
Robert's Washington State [ Watcom County ] Just South of Delta , B. C.
With some fellow birders Bobby and Curtis Pearson . Bobby's sharp eyes
found a Dark Gull in a group of Bonaparts Larus philadelphia and with
dogged determination followed the bird and convinced two skeptical
companions of the significance of this particular bird Curtis was
on side I was indifferent. Slowly with patience she convinced even me
that this was a good bird taking care full notes and referring to
several guides. We had a Larus minutus
Little Gull in Juvenile plumage . My excuse for being a doubting Thomas
there was a lot of molting Bonaparts and I do not do GULLS . Thank
Fully this sighting was confirmed during a Vancouver Natural History
Soc. field trip on Saturday August 15, 1998. THANK YOU BOBBY and
