Hello Tweets,

I birded the Kent Ponds today from 8am to 9:30am, with cloudy skies and
temps in the low 60's, but NO rain. A total of 46 species were noted, with
highlights being: 1 juv. SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER, 1 RED-NECKED PHALAROPE, 3
SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 2 LESSER YELLOWLEGS, 1 L.B.DOWITCHER, 1 GREEN HERON,
and 3 BLACK SWIFTS(which made a quick fly-by at 9:20 over the ponds, then
proceeded south). The shorebirds were mostly concentrated on the south end
of the west pond, and on both of the small vegatated "islands" in the
center pond, visible from the paved trail at the south end of ponds, which
all species were observed from.
