Well, Magnolia, I guess. There were 7 Western Sandpipers on the beach of
Commodore Park, next to the locks this morning. ( Small, black legs, rust
on the backs, whitish underneath, black bill.) There were also 4 pure
white domestic-looking ducks that I've never seen before, just west of
the railroad bridge. They had the little "mallard curl" on their tails.
Lots of Kingfisher sightings, there were at least three, the only one I
could ID was an adult male.

It's really interesting to look down on the peeps from above (8-10 feet),
when they stop moving they almost completely disappear to the naked eye.
Their predators come from above, I guess...
