Hello Tweeters:

Could someone provide me with some background information of the Xantus'
Hummingbird and its appearance(s) in the Pacific NW? Has the species
appeared in the area in previous years, or is this a first-time visitor?
Are there any sourcebooks out there which give a detailed description of
its range? Peterson/Chalif's Birds of Mexico implies that it doesn't
migrate (resident of S. Baja and Mazatlan, Sinaloa) and it doesn't even
make the list in Degraaf/Rappole's Neotropical Migratory Birds. What gives?
