Westport WA trips - August to date (22 and 29 August also scheduled).
Even allowing for fog for much of the 13 August trip, numbers of most
species
continue low, with phalaropes and jaegers almost non-existant. Numbers of
juvenile murres appeared on the 15th - their origin would be of interest.
Fishing vessel-attendees - e.g. albatrosses and fulmars - maintain their
numbers but others slumped. Sea surface temperatures have varied but remain
high for the season.
