On Birdchat this week, information was posted about the fact that in the
September Outside Magazine on the newsstand now, there is an article about the
trials and tribulations of Peter Shen, Tom Fiore, Todd Mark, and Louise
Augustine, birders who were held hostage by Colombian rebels this past March-
April.

If you read the article you will find more information about when, how, and
what it was like to be taken hostage while birding. Especially, how nearly
the events of bad timing almost cost Louise her life.
