Hello Maureen,
I live in the Tacoma Area called Fircrest. We have sometime 25 to 30
Band-tailed Pigeons feeding in my Yard. Its almost comical to see this big
Birds hanging on some of my Tubfeeder, some will go on the ground and pick
up some seeds what been dropped. One day i had a Coopers Hawk comming and
snatched a Pigeon. We found the feathers later under a bush. Not doing any
Birding , but driving long ways to catch the last Dragonflies of the
season. Its been a exiting sommer, and verry rewarding to finding 52
Species, sometime standing to the waist in muddy water, this to get one
kind of Dragonflie.I would never dreamed i could do such think or touch
Insects, but i done it all, it becomes normal after few times. This winter
i will have time to study Dragonflies more, so it will not take so long to
identify what i photograph and collect. Thanks to Dennis Paulson what
helped me get a good start.
