Monday: A barn own (probably one of the marymoor owls) flew by our apartment
and called (only reason I knew it was there...) at about 9:00 pm. From the
sound of the call, it was flying low over the slough, basically even with
the third floor apartments near Leary way. We've since named the owl
'Bartholomew' ;-)

Tuesday: Gwenhwyvar, the Cooper's Hawk, was by again this morning, hunting
at a tree just off our apartment deck. She missed, but perched at the top
of the tree looking indignant at Ernie, the Stellar's Jay, squaking
maniacally at her. Lucy the flicker also jeered at her a bit, and the
chickadees just made lots of noise from all directions...She finally flew
off, embarrased, but, alas, unphotographed yet again....
