When we went over to our daughters this last weekend.

Two days before, a cougar came into their yard and killed their dog and four
of the eight pups. It killed all the male pups, and ate part of the mother.
The cougar came back and they shot it. It was 6 feet long but only weighed
about 60 pounds. It should have weighed around, 125 pounds. It was a young
cat that was apparently starving to death.

Six miles down the road from our daughters home a man had to shoot a grizzly
bear that was in the yard (his 3 children were playing in the yard) It was
determined to be a justifiable shooting.

Is there a lack of food in the wild? Why are they coming into peoples yard?
