Although I don't want to unduly prolong this thread on a birding list,
since birders in wild areas are increasingly likely to encounter a bear
you should be aware of "Bear Aware" by Bill Schneider, Falcon Books,
Helena MT. ppb. 127 pp. $6.95, which appears to be the latest if not the
last word on the subject.
