Andy,
We were out in the mountains yesterday also, although not really birding.
We did a family hike to Park Butte Lookout, south of Mt. Baker. Saw one
Red-tailed Hawk, one Raven, and one Prairie Falcon. I noticed you did not
see a prairie falcon. We saw several at Sunrise at Mt. Rainier in Sept
last year. I assume this dispersal to the mountains occurs in the Cascades
from BC to Oregon. I wonder about in BC or Oregon or California. Also
what about timing? When does it start? I assume it ends when snow
arrives.
