Great Blue Heron Presentation by Rob Butler 8/31 pm!
The location of Monday's (Aug. 31) 7:30 pm great blue heron slide
presentation with Rob Butler will be in the hearing room for DDES,
which is located near the "T" intersection of Oaksdale SW and SW 7th in
Renton. The easiest way to find the hearing room is:
Use this address: 900 Oaksdale SW. Take I-5 south to SouthCenter and take 405
East to Renton and Exit at Hwy 167 and go North. Turn left on SW 7th
Park in the east parking lot. Walk east across the parking lot to the
single-story building with a green-tiled roof (it's the only one that
fits this description). It's the next building east from the 900
Oaksdale SW building. The door to the hearing room is on the north
side of the building. There should be signs pointing the way to the
hearing room.
The actual address of the building is 935 Powell, however, we are told that
it's a tough building to find if the only thing you have is just the address.
So use the description above to find it.
Rob Butler, author of The Great Blue Heron, and the preeminent
expert on the subspecies of great blue herons that occur in Puget Sound, will
be giving a slide presentation on herons Monday, August 31. A time has not yet
been set, but it will be in the early evening. If you have any interest in
great blue herons or their habitat, don't miss this event. Rob is visiting
Seattle to provide expert testimony regarding great blue herons at a hearing
that occurs then next day. This is a one-time only special presentation!
