Sunday, Aug 30, 11:03 pm. Hi this is Dan McDougall Tracy. 206-525-5072.
Sunday at the Montlake Fill probably around 10:00 am, was a NORTHERN
WATERTHRUSH, a couple of BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS, a handful of AMERICAN PIPITS,
a PECTORAL SANDPIPER, and 1 or 2 BANK SWALLOWS.

Sat, Aug 29, 10:28 pm. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. Today Dennis Buffy and
I birded Ocean Shores. Bottle Beach and Tokeland. Had 25 species of
shorebirds, nothing wildly rare, but many of the more uncommon species. At
Bill's Spit, starting the day there were 2 WHITE PELICANS. At the pond on
Damon's Point there were 3 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, and a BAIRD'S. At the east
end of the Game Range Slough there were 2 more BAIRD"S SANDPIPERS. At the
end of Tompkin Ave, at the North side of the Game Range there were 7
PACIFIC GOLDEN PLOVERS, 1 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER and 1 unidentified golden
plover. At Bottle Beach there were a dozen RED KNOTS, and my first DUNLIN
of the fall. At Tokeland there were about 305 MARBLED GODWITS. 50 LONG
BILLED CURLEWS, 8 or 9 WILLETS, 3 RED KNOTS, 2 AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVERS and
1 unidentified golden plover.

Sat, Aug 29, 4:41 pm. Hi this is Sheba. My number is 623-0753. Today I saw
a WHIMBREL at the North Beach of Discovery Park around 11 am. Of course
there were other shorebirds, like WESTERN and LEAST SANDPIPERS,
SANDERLINGS. There were also COMMON TERNS. And some OSPREYS flying around.
But I thought I should report the WHIMBREL sighting.

Sat, Aug 29, 4:04 pm. Hi, Robert Housin, 485-0226. Today at Montlake Fill
there were 5 species of sandpipers present including 4 BAIRD'S and a
PECTORAL. Also BANK SWALLOWS were present flying over the pond.

Sat, Aug 29. 3:04 pm. This is Carl Haynie. Yesterday Ed Wedsell and I,
Friday morning at the Everett Sewage Ponds, found a FRANKLIN'S GULL and an
EARED GREBE at the south end of the largest pond. There was also a LINCOLN'
S SPARROW in the vicinity and a BANK SWALLOW.

Thurs, Aug 27, 8:16 pm. Hi this is Gene Revelas in Tacoma. 253-756-7834.
According to Bruce Lavar last Saturday, 8/22, on the way in on the Westport
pelagic trip, they had a MANX SHEARWATER that was right off the Westport
jetty, apparently on the water and then flew up as the boat went by. Just
want to let folks know anybody on the coast should keep an eye out for any
shearwaters you can see from shore.

Wed, Aug 26, 11:03 pm. This is Scott Hoskin. 206-789-8990. This evening at
the Montlake Fill at the central pond, there was as juvenal BAIRD'S
SANDPIPER seen between 6:30 and 7 pm. After 7 pm, I didn't relocate the
bird after it flew off.

Wed, Aug 26, 10:21 am. Hi, this is Steven Mlodinow. I found out today that
Andy Stepniewski had 2 BARTAILED GODWITS at Tokeland on Monday 8/24.
