Actually I was wondering about the window painting myself. I have a list
of heard only birds:

Eastern Screech Owl
Veery
Saw-whet Owl

There are a few others which I can't think of off the top of my head.
Usually if I hear it well enough to identify it, I see it also. It also
helps that I haven't honed my audio I.D. skills and I don't get out much
:-) I gotta learn how to drive the manual so I don't have to rely on my
parents for transportation.

Actually, the Birdchat list had a thread about this recently, and I
believe that the ABA will now accept heard only records if you are 100%
sure of the I.D.

Another list I have has only one bird on it. I have a pretty good
memory, but there is one that completely escapes me. It goes on my
"definately seen even though I have absolutely no memory of it" list.
When I was eight years old, I went to Disney World with my parents and
while I was there I took a picture of a Common Moorhen (I don't know if
this is still the name or if it is Common Gallinule now). The only
evidence I have of my sighting is this picture which I have absolutely no
recollection of taking. Actually the only pictures I remember taking on
that trip were of a flightless Nene and flightless flamingos at Sea World
:-)
