Subject: Marymoor Park Report 12/3/98 (King Co. WA)

Belated report for last Thursday. The golden orb showed in the sky - very
disorienting.

Notables:

Double-crested Cormorant 30 With another dozen downstream
at Leary Way. Very high number for Marymoor.
Northern Shrike 1 In bushes east of
the nature trail (over towards the model airplane field)
Western Meadowlark 3 In field east of nature
trail

Both Bewick's and Marsh Wrens were SINGING. I don't know it was just
because it was sunny, or if they are gearing up for a strong springtime
territorial defence already.

Also, today at our house in east Kirkland, we had a Red-breasted Sapsucker -
always nice to see.
