I recommend caution with metal, if you're using it on your house.
Flickers seem to love the resounding noise. I had the misfortune of
having a neighbor that had a 10 foot tall metal flamingo and palm
tree in the yard. Dawn comes early in this neck of the woods in
spring & summer, and the 4:00am drummings lost their charm at about
4:00:01 on the first morning. I can't imagine having that metal any
closer to the house!
