A BARRED OWL was seen on November 27 by Heyburn SP, which is five
miles east of Plummer, Benewah County, Idaho, according to Januarye
Westervelt and Steve Kalloger. The bird was perched above Idaho 5
near the railroad trestle just west of the turnoff into the park. ID
DeLorme 60, C-1.

A single, female, somewhere between basic and alternate plumaged
OLDSQUAW was at Mann Lake, just east of Lewiston, Nez Perce County,
Idaho on December 3, according to Deb Beutler. To get there from the
north end of Lewiston, take US 12 across the Clearwater River. Just
across the bridge, take the first left toward East Lewiston, then the
immediately left onto East Main Street. Follow East Main to the
blinking yellow light and turn right onto Lapwai (aka Lindsay Creek)
Road and follow Lindsay Creek until it ends at Grelle. Turn left on
Grelle, and just after Grelle makes a sharp right turn, turn left onto
Powers. Follow Powers straight 1.3 miles to the reservoir. ID
DeLorme 54, A-1.

A huge flock of SNOW GEESE, perhaps 700 birds, was on the flat west of
Grangeville, Idaho County, Idaho near Tolo Lake on November 29
according to Charles Swift. In fading light, Charles picked out 18
TUNDRA SWANS and at least 5, but perhaps 10 or more, ROSS'S GEESE. ID
DeLorme 54-55, C-3.5.

One LONG-EARED OWL was at Crow Butte SP, in extreme southwestern
Benton County, Washington on November 28, according to Wilson Cady.
It was in a pine south of the entrance to the camping area. The
entrance to the park is along Washington 14 west of Paterson. WA
DeLorme 28, B-2.

Over Thanksgiving, a single BLUE JAY was reported from the north end
