The Vancouver Audubon Chapter has budgeted the C.B.C. fee for the
twenty-three years that we have covered the Washington side of the Sauvie
Island C.B.C. circle. We consider paying the participant's fee a
contribution to collecting wildlife data, an educational tool, and good
publicity. A simple fund raiser or making it a yearly budget item for the
lead chapter cuts out the "fudge factor" in the reporting of the numbers
of observers.
