To all birders and tweeters,
While birding Klickitat Co.in Dallasport at the Tydyman Pond's, standing
there watching two Prarie Falcon
with one bird going after a flock of 30 Killdeer and capturing one when a
Harlan Red-tailed Hawk claimed the Killdeer as its owne prey, while the
falcon watched at a distance. This particular area is the only place known
to get regular shorebird species in this county. While standing there we
where approached by the owner of this property. She ask us if we are
Audubon members and the meeting there going to have concerning her
property. She try to sell this land to a developer who going to build a
golf course. Does any one know this? This paticular Habitat is verry
important for shorebirds to find food.We counted 13 species shorebirds
including the Semipalmated Sandpiper. Can this Habitat saved and preserved?
