Yeaterday we went to Moses lake via hwy.155 and 17 and returned on the
Stratford Rd.to Coulee city and home. We saw 36 species. Birds of
interest to us were:

Along Banks Lake:
Bald Eagle-4
Barrow's Goldeneye-2
Red-winged Blackbird-23
Tundra Swan-10
Hooded Merganser-2
Marsh Wren

CHUKAR-2 near Sunlakes SP. We have seen some in that area 4 out of 5
times!

At Blue Lakes Resort:
Varied Thrush-3
SWAINSON'S THRUSH-2 (pretty sure on ID)

At Lake Lenore we checked for the Gray-crowned Rosy Finch. John Ottestad
said they were there earlier. We did see:
Trumpter Swan-2

At Soap Lake there was a--flock, bunch, raft?? Of 42 Eared Grebes.

On the way home at Coulee City there were 15 Meadow Larks. We thought
they went south for the winter.

That's all folks. :-)
