Today we went to Barker Canyon which is in one of our CBC count areas.
It was a quick check, mostly from the car. We saw 18 species
including--Great horned Owl, Redhead -7, and the highlight of the day
was a LONG-TAILED DUCK (Oldsquaw) at Barker Canyon Lake. It was a female
in winter plummage. I went back to the car for the camera becuase the
duck was really close to shore and when I got back it was gone. :-(

Why didn't I have the camera with me? Cause it was raining. I won't do
that again.
