Len and Dian,
Thanks. We three are Steve Mlodinow, Dennis Duffy and I. We left Blackie's Spit and went to see the cattle egret at the foot of 88th on Boundry Bay, searched fields nearby for gulls, then returned to Blackie's Spit. We ran into Rick Romea, Mike and Rick Toochin and others and eventually found the bird in its usual place. Mike found it for us as it flew in, recognizing its distinctive "wup-wup-wup..." flight call. This call sounds like a nuthatch farting!

Hi ,
Today my wife and I were met three gentlemen from Seattle who were looking for the BRAMBLING at Blackies Spit. Just to let you know we found it on the South side of the slough from where you were looking. We tried to find you but you had left. It was on the trail directly across the water from where we were standing.
See you in the field,
Len and Dian Jellicoe
