On my usual walk in the Lake Hills Greenbelt in Bellevue this morning on a
beautiful sunny day, I saw three Red-tailed Hawks and two Cooper's Hawks. One
RTHA was at Larsen L., one Cooper's on the trail between lakes, two RTHA at
fields just north of Phantom L. and one Cooper's in a tree visible from the
dock at Phantom L. This COHA was perched in a snag with its wings and tail
spread out as if to soak up some of the sunshine. It was there about a minute
until a Steller's Jay harassed it enough to make it leave.
